As President of Alix Desulme & Associates, Alix Desulme directs marketing, public relations, community outreach and direct street marketing projects within the African-American, Haitian and Caribbean communities.  Alix has over six years experience in advertising, marketing, and public relations and his current accounts include Florida Democratic Party,  SogeExpress, and Miami-Dade County Public Schools. Alix manages these accounts at the executive level by overseeing marketing and public relations decisions and activities and additionally manages the day-to-day operations of his firm.   

Alix Desulme’s fervent desire to champion youth causes has driven him to be actively involved in numerous civic organizations, community forums, and political activities that affect the lives of young people.  For that reason, Alix Desulme became an elementary school teacher within the Miami-Dade County Public Schools.  In addition to teaching young children, Alix Desulme devotes his free time to serving the 5000 Role Models of Excellence Project, Operation Green Leaves Project, North Miami Jaycees, Miami-Dade Democratic Executive Committee, and Planned Parenthood of Greater Miami.  

Also, Alix is the founder and immediate past chairperson of Young Minorities in Action (YMIA).  YMIA’s mission is to educate young minorities about the political process at the local, state, and national levels.  Its goals are to increase the number of informed minority voters, and to provide equal opportunity in political affairs for minority youths.  

At St. Thomas University, Alix earned a Bachelors of Arts degree in Organizational Leadership/Marketing in 2001 and a Masters of Science in Exceptional Student Education in 2003; and currently he is enrolled in a doctorate program. Alix has volunteered with the Audubon Society, in collaboration with the South Florida Water Management District, with Save the Everglades, the Kiwanis Club, the City of North Miami, and the City of Miami.
